Marking to Directive 2014/34/EU
The conformity assessment procedures for
“equipment and protective systems intended for
use in potentially explosive atmospheres” are
specified in Directive 2014/34/EU.
Depending on the equipment categories, the
Directive stipulates which path the manufacturer
must comply with up to preparation of the
declaration of conformity. The following overview
shows this path for the various conformity
procedures.
